    the looming tiktok ban feels like a good time to bring this up....i've noticed a wave of fear and frustration among content creators, entrepreneurs, and brands all over my timeline about the House passing the bill to ban tiktok, but i'm not worried for a few reasons.if you're feeling nervous about losing your content and the following you've worked hard to gain... this is a great reminder that relying solely on social media platforms for audience engagement poses risks of losing control over your audience and content. platforms can be deleted, accounts compromised—highlighting the need for diversified marketing tactics. not to mention, when using centralized social media platforms, are we really even sure if we own our own content/data? building meaningful relationships and engaging your audience is a crucial part of building your brand, so why not take it to the next step and ensure sustainability. 🗣 Build. That. Contact. List! 🗣there are lots of ways to start building your contact list, but my best advice to all, is owning a blog. consistently providing valuable and/or relatable content nurtures relationships with your audience and encourages retention. this approach mitigates the risk of losing your content, establishes authority, builds relationships, drives traffic, generates leads and expands your contact list. don't let your fate lay in the hands of a centralized social media platform---but anyways, tiktok is not going away Statusphere's CEO, Kristen Wiley, effectively illustrates why I'm keeping my cool amidst the news.
