Allegation No. 14 identified assistant coach Dwane Casey as having driven Ellis and Eric Manuel to work. In another letter on Feb. 10, Ro-selle informed the NCAA that Davis, Ellis, Feldhaus and Pelphrey lived in Wildcat Lodge during the summer of 1987 even though they were not enrolled in school. James Park who heads Kentucky's internal investigation, wrote to the NCAA that Miller improperly assigned complimentary tickets to more than one person who is not a family member, relative or student.

The NCAA permits one such ticket to be allotted each game. In Allegation No. 15, the NCAA charged the basketball staff with not exercising appropriate control over complimentary tickets. Miller had improperly left a complimentary ticket for games last season against Mississippi State and Notre Dame. He thought the person who received the ticket was a University of Louisville student, which would have been permissible by the NCAA, Burch said, but the person was not enrolled at Louisville.

Burch said Kentucky and NCAA investigators did not find evidence of a scheme to sell complimentary tickets. LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) Three of the 18 allegations against the Kentucky basketball program cannot be defended, the school told the NCAA last month. The Lexington Herald-Leader, from correspondence obtained through the state's Freedom of Information Act, reported today that the school ruled ineligible LeRon Ellis, Johnathon Davis, Deron Feldhaus, John Pelphrey and Derrick because of the finding. The NCAA restored the players' eligibility within 24 hours.

Kentucky interim athletics director Joe Burch said Thursday that the speedy restoration by the NCAA indicated that the allegations "were not considered major." He added, however, "It would not be appropriate to think that action forecloses what the Committee on Infractions might do." Burch also said that the three violations would not automatically lead to Eddie Sutton's dismissal as head coach. Sutton's contract states that he can be fired if the program is found in violation of NCAA rules. "That kind of judgment would be based on the whole case, not just this part," he said. Kentucky President David Ro-selle told the NCAA in a Feb. 10 letter that Ellis received what could be interpreted as improper ADDITIONS, REMODELING Decks, siding, rec rooms, doors, windows.
